Boys lacrosse season wrap up
June 11, 2018
The Wilson boys varsity lacrosse team had a successful season this year, earning a 12-3 overall record. The three losses came against Maret, St. Anselm’s, and Sidwell. The Tigers played St. Anselm’s once again in the championship, and defeated them 18-11.
Despite a stellar season, the team faced some unforeseen challenges. Sophomore Defenseman Gabe Solomon said that one of the the difficulties they had was playing a few games without the starters.
With the wins over the season and the ones leading up to championships, the Tigers had high hopes going into their championship game. “I felt very confident in the team because we outplayed them [St. Anslems] in the second half,” Solomon said. The team hopes to win another championship next year.
