Best Bowls in Tenley

Hannah Frank and Anna Gustafson

Soon enough (hopefully), people will flood the streets of Tenleytown eager to get out for a bite to eat after being in quarantine for so long. We know the neighborhood can be quite intimidating with so many options to choose from, so let this be a guide for the best bowls in Tenley.

SeoulSpice

International fast-food cuisine seems to be a trend in Tenley’s food circle, with SeoulSpice ranking high on our list of favorites. This Korean comfort food can be a perfect bite for dinner or lunch. When making your rice bowl, you can choose from a variety of flavors to make it unique to your own taste buds. Despite their high prices, they never fail to please.

Bandit Taco

Fairly new to the Tenley family, Bandit Taco is tucked away in the corner of the neighborhood between a jujitsu studio and Tenleytown Barber. Offering a wide variety of tacos, bowls, burritos, and quesadillas, Bandit’s Mexician cuisine has grown very popular amongst Wilson students. Don’t miss out on $2 Taco Tuesdays!

CAVA

As a fast-food favorite in DC, CAVA’s mediteranean bowls are not ones to miss. With buffet style options, it is impossible to not find something to enjoy. A perfect mix of juicy meat, falafel, sauces, and delicious veggies will leave you thirsting for more. Despite a longer walk, their short lines and good prices makes this option worth your while.

Panera Bread

Ah, a classic. Panera has been a Tenley favorite since the dawn of time. Our personal favorite is the Vegetarian Autumn Squash Soup, but the Mac & Cheese is another bowl that also slaps. If you’re feeling extra hungry, you can always ask for your favorite soup in a bread bowl. But make sure you don’t let the employees catch you with outside food, or you’ll find yourself on the street!
