A few things come to mind when one thinks of fall, among them sweaters, pumpkin spice literally everything, and religious TV watching. Lucky for us, there are tons of shows coming to our TV’s this season, old and new. Returning for an eighth season we have The Big Bang Theory, and fans are highly anticipating the resolvance of many plot twists from the last season. The Walking Dead comes back to television on October 12th for it’s fifth season and is expected to have plenty of deaths and riveting action. FX brings viewers a fourth season of American Horror Story titled Freak Show, which is set in Florida in the 1950’s and is expected to be the best season yet. Fall also brings the return of some sitcoms, including Bob’s Burgers, Awkward, The Mindy Project, Modern Family, and many more.
Keeping up with all our favorite returning shows may be hard with the distraction of various new ones coming to us in the months of September and October. One of fall’s most highly anticipated debuts is Madam Secretary, a CBS drama about Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord who gets dragged into many complex political challenges. Fox is releasing Gotham, a prequel to Batman that takes place decades before the superhero was around, showing earlier versions of Batman’s worst enemies. On October 4th, comedy Survivor’s Remorse will be released, which follows a basketball player’s life as he’s given an NBA contract and launched into stardom. NBC brings us romantic sitcom Marry Me and supernatural drama Constantine, both expected to be very good. Last fall’s selection of new shows wasn’t very impressive, but it looks like this year television will have something to satisfy even the harshest of judges. Good luck getting to bed on time.
