It’s safe to say we’ve gone a little crazy with our spendings on TikTok shop, so to save you the insanity, we’re here to share the most popular items and a few of our personal favorites. 

Sacheu beauty lip tint STAY-N: 9/10

Sacheu Beauty’s lip tint STAY-N has become one of the most popular Tiktok shop purchases with lots of good reviews and demonstrations that accurately show the long-lasting, smudge-proof wear. With TikTok’s approach of selling products through numerous sponsored posts, STAY-N has taken over For You Pages and is one of the most sold items. And after using it ourselves, we can see why. The stain lasts all day, even through the school air. I love this product and it is a go-to in my routine. This receives a 9/10 only because it can be difficult to remove, warranting the one point deduction. 

Awaytr Silk Bonnet: 9/10

If you search “Bonnet” on Tiktok, you’ll likely see sponsored posts and paid reviews for tons of different silk and satin bonnets. However, the most popular and recommended by Tiktok is the Awaytr Silk Bonnet. Now, there’s a host of reasons that bonnets are helpful for hair health and since buying this one from the TikTok shop a while ago, I’ve never second-guessed my decision. I’ve had bonnets for as long as I can remember but the Awaytr is my favorite by far. We rate it a 9/10 because they have different colors and sizes to choose from, and it’s a personal essential for both of us. Minus one point because it does occasionally fall off in the middle of the night. 

Mama V’s sour blue raspberry Gushers: 7/10

Some people know about these. I can say they’ve been inescapable on my FYP recently, and my sweet tooth eventually made me buy them. Now, unlike a lot of our TikTok shop purchases, I did not regret doing the taste test for these (I think Amina did), but be warned, they are actually really, really sour. Like, so good but so sour. I promise after you get these you will make your whole family and all your friends try them.

African turmeric soap bar: 8/10

The African Turmeric Soap has been said to clear hyperpigmentation anywhere on your body in just two weeks. It contains curcumin, an ingredient with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Although, some have complained that it either did nothing, or it made them break out. Nevertheless, it has gained a lot of attention, with more small businesses making this product, and more people being persuaded to buy it. I didn’t believe what anyone said about the soapbar until I tried it. It felt like it was taking forever to work, but I did notice the results after a few weeks. I’m not sure I would recommend buying this considering the possible negative outcomes, but I thought to include it because it was flooding my FYP at one point. 

African net sponge: 10/10

The African Net Sponge is SO much better than any loofa I’ve ever had. I stumbled upon this product last winter and haven’t gone back since. Unlike a loofa, it’s easy to ring out the soap and takes significantly less time. I love how its netted fabric provides a satisfying lather, leaving me feeling so smooth and clean. If you haven’t seen it before, it can expand or retract to the size you want it to be. It’s really easy to travel with because all you have to do is store it back in the small travel-sized bag it came in. I’ve told Georgie to get this (she didn’t) but it’s obvious to my friends that I looooove this sponge and don’t plan on going back to loofas anytime soon.

Bubs mix: 9/10

The Bubs Mix Swedish candy is one of my favorites from this list, although you’ll notice that we didn’t include a specific brand to get on the Tiktok shop, mostly because one of the most popular brands (and the one that we got ours from) was wildly disappointing. Poppin’ Candy, took two weeks to ship and another two to arrive. Additionally, when it actually did arrive, it was (in our opinion) super overpriced for the actual size of bag we ended up getting. This meant we got a lot less variety than other people who tried it, and we would recommend getting the biggest bag for the cheapest price if you decide to purchase. With that being said, the Bubs were so good and fluffy, and weirdly tasted closer to actual fruit than other candies. Although my personal purchasing experience was not ideal, I’m not going to take my bitterness out on the Bubs and rate the candy itself 9/10. We deducted one point because of the Coke flavored candy in the mix that we hated, and they gave us like four of them. 

FeelinGirl Seamless bodysuit: 7.5/10

Struggling to put together an outfit for a night out? The FeelinGirl Seamless bodysuit is the perfect choice for you. I’m sure by now you’ve seen the videos of girls comparing it to the size of their thigh, but yes, it’s possible to get on. Despite looking doll sized, once it’s on your body, it does its job. This piece has become a TikTok shop staple, and a staple in my own closet. It resembles the SKIMS bodysuit, but many have said that they would choose the FeelinGirl. I mean who wouldn’t want to spend $30 less and still look snatched? I’d rate this a solid 7.5/10 for two reasons: 1.) It’s as hard to put on as it looks, and 2.) I can’t say it’s the most comfortable thing I own. However, this is definitely one of my top 10 best impulsive purchases. 

Guru nanda: 8/10 

This may be controversial, Georgie claims it’s not good for your gums, but I had to mention the GuruNanda Oil Pulling Rinse. Of course, I’m easily influenced and had to try it myself and IT WORKS! Before getting it I saw so many TikToks about how it whitens your teeth in a week, and unless it was a placebo effect I truly saw results in a week. I wasn’t going to buy it and follow the trend until I saw it in my friend’s bathroom and she convinced me that it actually made a difference. If you haven’t already bought it, I highly encourage you to do so. All you do is shake up the bottle, then swish it around for a few minutes once or twice a day for a few weeks, and you will see progress. I wanted to give this a 10, but it gets an 8/10 because while it doesn’t directly damage your teeth, it could make them more vulnerable to damage. It also doesn’t taste the best, though it really isn’t that bad with the mint and coconut flavoring.

Amina’s pick: Mouth tape

I’m especially excited to tell you about mouth taping. No, I did not buy it for a sharper jawline, I was influenced by the benefits it has for your sleep. The first time I used it I woke up feeling so well rested, I knew it was worth the fear I had the night before. When I first put it on, I worried I wouldn’t be able to breathe through the night, but trust me, you can. This is my favorite because I actually noticed that I had more energy in the morning, and it only came off once overnight. Plus, it does snatch your face. The only flaw is that depending on the brand you choose, it can hurt a little bit to take off, which is why I rate it a 9.5/10.

Georgie’s pick: VITCCO ear cleaner

Ok, I know this one is a little weird, but I bought it super impulsively on the TikTok shop after reading that cleaning your ears with a q-tip is actually super harmful to the ear canal and nobody should actually be doing it anymore. It’s basically a tiny ear spoon with a small camera that connects to an app on your phone so you can see what you are doing. Not only was it really fun for us to figure out and use, we truly thought we could feel the difference afterward. I recommend buying from VITCCO because I can confirm it works well and it came in just two days. •
