Hanukkah is filled with eight wonderful nights of holiday magic. Although a holiday is always fun, eight days is a long time to keep up the thrill. So, to help you out, we made a day-to-day plan on how to maintain the energy for the entire holiday.
Night one: How could you not be excited for the first day of this amazing holiday!? Night one always brings excitement as you prepare to light the chanukiah, receive one-of-a-kind presents, sing, and experience loads of family fun.
Night two: Nothing beats the first or last night, but who wouldn’t want matching pajama sets to spruce things up? It would bring laughter and cheer; getting one for your pet would improve the spirit. No one can refuse to take a family photo in matching gear.
Night three: To foster some cheer, delicious foods are right here! There are many to choose from, including latkes, jelly donuts, and much more. Since we’re not too sure of your baking ability, going to Dunkin’ might just be the right move.
Night four: If you haven’t already, playing dreidel is a necessity. I mean, when you’re singing “dreidel, dreidel, dreidel,” what can go wrong? Come up with fun variations of the game and see who can spin it upside down the longest.
Night five: Continuing the nightly festivities, a fun game to try with family or friends is poker using gelt. Instead of losing all your money, you can risk some chocolate as you hopefully didn’t go into debt buying it. And let’s be real when no one is looking, you can always turn to sneak some gelt for yourself.
Night six: Since you may very well be out of new gifts at this point, regifting is the way to go. This could be an old inside joke, a homemade gift, or just something inexpensive. After all, life can never be that bad when you get a classic gag gift.
Night seven: Not every night can be special…
Night eight: As sad as it is, we have reached the end. But let’s go out with a bang! Go host that extreme Hanukkah party and invite everyone you know. From your best friend to your cat-obsessed neighbor, the party vibes will be off the hook. Spin that dreidel like you’ve never spun before.
Overall, there are countless ideas you can bring to Hanukkah to add to your holiday fun. If you really want an exciting Hanukkah this year, we recommend closely following our directions. Happy early Hanukkah!
