Now that it’s in the 70’s and sunny, it’s time to ditch the sweatpants, jeans, and hoodies to trade them in for something more appropriate.
I don’t know about you, but it can be difficult deciding what to wear when it’s not quite warm enough for shorts, but a bit too cold for pants.
So the perfect spring trend, linen pants! They are extremely comfortable and perfect for any temperature, making them an excellent spring choice.
Maxi skirts are a similar and amazing option; although they are not a new trend, I have seen a lot of maxi and midi skirts lately, usually with big belts layered over.
Another exciting trend to experiment with is denim on denim. I have previously been opposed to wearing jeans and a jean jacket at the same time. However, this trend has exploded across social media and the Jackson Reed hallways, and I am loving it!
Another trend that has caught my eye are ballet flats. Flats and jeans always look incredible together and add so much to an outfit.
Although they aren’t the most comfortable shoe choice, they are hands down the most stylish. Additionally, getting creative with flats (or shoes in general) through color and styles, or matching it with another aspect with an outfit (we’ve all heard of the sandwich method), such as a bag or headband, always improves the look and adds stylish touches that are not overlooked.
For those who are tired of seeing the same repeated outfits in the hallways, another upcoming trend is layering jewelry.
However this doesn’t mean two or three small necklaces, no: this means unique and eclectic jewelry of many different lengths (preferably very long) to spice up a look and give a personal flair.
Keeping within the topic of jewelry and uniqueness, big and chunky bangles are making a comeback!
Let’s let spring of 2026 be a time of experimentation and exploration. Lets not fall into habits of conforming with everyone around us, the best way to add new trends into your life and wardrobe is to make them your own, so don’t be afraid to add your own twist to these trends. •
